Extraction of soldering fume directly on the spot by ULT systems
Extraction of soldering fume
Evaporating flux, cleaning agents and their decomposition products are
detrimental to health. Depending on the technique applied, soldering
fume can contain numerous pollutants such as lead oxide, hydrochloric
gas, formaldehyde, cadmium oxide and fluorides. Units of the LRA series
extract the soldering fume directly from its source of origin. Owing to
high-grade filtration, the cleaned air can be recirculated into the
working room without any heat losses. The extracting capacity of these
units ranks between 50 m³/h and 1,000 m³/h. For manual soldering, both
on-the-spot extraction and extraction integrated in the soldering iron
are possible. For machine soldering in the electronic industry, the
soldering fume extraction units are used in connection with wave, reflow
and selective soldering systems as well as for robot soldering cells and
in laser soldering.
